The Digital Scrapbook Company

Julia (webfrau), Moderator

Julia lives in New Zealand on a rural lifestyle property with one husband, one son, three sheep, five hens, a rooster and countless thistles.

Julia discovered DSP in October 2005 after reading an article in a local scrapbooking magazine written by Lauren Bavin. She followed the link to DSP and was completely entranced by not only the realistic yet flat embellishments but also the fantastic graphic pages too. Her first attempts were made with Microsoft Photodraw but after receiving Photoshop Elements and a Wacom tablet for Christmas she discovered the power of layers and Digiscrapping became a full blown addiction.

When she's not playing on the computer Julia also likes to knit, quilt, sew and embroider. She is active as a musician, playing in a recorder trio that has been together for over 10 years. Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate are Julia's favorite foods but if you're talking fast food it's hard to beat hot, fresh fish n chips. She enjoys anything fresh, tasty and seasonal, preferably cooked by someone else.

Julia loves to go anywhere warmish with interesting things to visit and do but she has very fond memories of a trip to Europe and Disneyland in the far too distant past.

Julia's family would tell you lime green and purple, preferably together are her favorite colours. It's true. She does like those but she also really likes red and orange too. She likes her colours strong and NOT pink. She has a life-threatening allergy to pink.

What is her favourite thing to do on the weekends? Besides scrap? That would have to be watching somebody else do the housework, sadly this happens far too infrequently.
