I finished a book this morning:
The book of blood & shadow by Robin Wasserman
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...ood-and-shadow
It was just one of those books that caught my eye when I was in the library. I enjoyed it. I've never read or seen the da vinci code but I imagine it's of that genre involving teenagers instead of adults - ancient manuscripts give clues to religious mysteries and murder.

I have got another one started - The girl who circumnavigated fairyland in a ship of her own making.
I read the first couple of chapters the day I got it out of the library but it has that feeling of "trying too hard" to be a Victorian fairy story, so I don't know if I'll actually finish it or not.

Im afraid i have quite commercial ( popularist) taste in books which seems far removed from what most of you in this thread read so thats why I havent bothered to keep up with the thread...

My recent reads (almost all are e-books):
The Wind through the Keyhole - Stephen King
The Hunger Games series - Suzanne Collins
The Stand - Stephen King (reread)
It - Stephen King (reread)
Assault with a Deadly Glue Gun - Lois Winston
One of Our Thursdays Is Missing - Jasper Fforde
Anyone else a fan of Fforde's Thursday Next series? I love it.

I read the Alchemist because it came highly recommended. I didn't love it. It was just okay. But Chris really enjoyed it and was surprised I didn't.
