Posting Your First Layout to DSP? (May 2008)

Thinking about posting your first layout to DSP?
Well, do it and you could win!!

Here's how this challenge works . . . for all you newbies and lurkers, post your first layout to DSP in May 2008, post a link here, in this thread, to your very first layout and I'll be choosing a random winner for a free page kit at the end of the month!!

That's right, just post a link and you could win!! How easy is that??

Not sure how to post your layout??
Check out this tutorial:
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com...llery_ep.shtml

Still having problems? Then ask! Someone will be able to help you out!

After you get that first layout up, copy the link and paste it into this thread! I'll choose a random winner at the end of the month for a free page kit of their choice!!

How easy is that? Post very first layout at DSP during the month of March, tell us all about it!! We'll give you lots of comments and you'll get a chance at a prize!

Deadline: May 30th.
Eligible: Any first DSP layout posted in May 2008!

And how about uploading your layout to the "My First Layout" gallery?
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com...y.php?cat=5447

Post your first layout to this gallery . . . and check out other members first layouts. It's fun to see how far people come!

My First DSP Post

My first layout posted here at DSP

Wanted to post this since I used Lauren Bavin's OldMan of Sea 2 paper for it!

Newbie question...do I have to upload it once per gallery or is there a way to link to it in my gallery so it will show up in the gallery for the designer, for example?

Hi Tanya! No matter what gallery you post it in, it will always show up in your personal gallery. So if you did say my challenge and uploaded your layout to my gallery, the layout would be there, but when you clicked on your own gallery it would also be there!

How do people get their link to show up as the name of the layout?

Links as names is not too hard. Below the quick reply box at the bottom of the page click the button that says "Go Advanced." Then click on the "insert link" icon. That brings up a box for you to type in the URL. Do that and hit return. That inserts the link into your message. But it also shows the link twice in the html code. So the default is to get the link to click when you post the message. To change it you replace the second instance of the link with whatever text you want to use.

This is my first LO other than one I played around with following directions on the Faith Sisters site but I never kept as it did not look too good.

Here is my first LO too, done while figuring out my software on a miserable Saturday morning. I can see I'm going to get hooked on it pretty quick, although with no kids and a camera-shy Other Half, I'm going to end up with a hundred pages about my cat, lol!

I love this layout. I want to do a heritage album but haven't been able to come up with any ideas. Thanks for sharing. Yvonne
