The Inspiration and Support Thread - If you post a layout in that thread - you get to know other dsPEEPS very quickly!
And, you get instant feedback on your layouts! It's a great place to be....

Actually, one of the very first reasons I stayed with DSP was because of a fellow DSPeep! GrandmaCrys commented on most of my first layouts. She was so kind, and each post had one or more challenges, forums, or what not in them. I really felt welcomed, and it just kind of evolved from there.
Dang Lauren, you are really making me think today! I guess I need to pay it forward, and seek out the newbies like Crys did. I try to, but I need to make an effort every day to at least find one new peep to encourage.

I have to agree.....the Inspiration and Support Thread. I love meeting the people, commenting on their layouts, and having them comment on mine.

Oh, I have another one
The contests. NKOTB, Trendsetters, DET, etc. Those are the places that I have really gotten to know people, and interacted the most. The challenges are nice, but talking in the forums with other contestants is a lot more personal. Almost as personal as chat. And, it doesn't fly 100 mph

I love the chats, but sometimes they do make me feel a little schizophrenic. I find that I can keep up better if I have a little chardonnay while I chat....

I also like the challenges.....they motivate me to get my layouts done in a somewhat timely fashion and I like getting to know the designers.

Speaking of chats....Erica's chat starts in 15 minutes....come on and go to the chat room! Those chats are SO much fun! (Sorry I missed your chat yesterday, Lauren! Your chat is one of my most favorites!)

A good way to get involved is by going to chats. They are a lot of fun and you get to know people.

Another really great way to get involved is to jump in and start doing challenges. This was the way I first got involved and what made me keep coming back.

Consistently doing one or two chats a week. I really got to know people that way. Then joining contests like NKOTB and DET. Finally, attending crops!

I love the Grannie Thread. Everyone who goes on there is like "part of the family".

1. Great designers and kits - I really love that dsp has not make a set of clipart or objects as I have seen in some other places.
2. Challenges with deadlines and freebies :-) Those deadlines get me to do LO's...otherwise, I just know I can do it later.
3. The gallery - There is sooo much inspiration in the gallery.
4. The layout samples link in the store - which helps me use the gallery even more. If I'm not sure I can use a kit, I click on that and instantly, I'm taken to ideas for it. I LOVE this feature. I love that dsp's link so many LO's to the store. (On that same idea,I love that I can hover over the thumbnail in the store and get a bigger preview...no extra clicks :-)
