 Thanks y'all!
I switched to the timeline layout just to have a chance to make a cover... I'm such a scrap-geek!

This is so clever! I love it - I'd scraplift it, but, how do you know where to put the little picture you're reaching out of? So far, my timeline has always put that on over the top of the cover, automatically.

Ritsumei, I googled timeline covers and found a tutorial on how to do it. The site had a free layered template that showed exactly where your profile photo would go over the cover. I hope that helps

I LOVE this Tina!!!! I have a lovely sunset picture for my timeline that I had to do nothing for, but now I want to scrap. LOL.
But I do dislike the timeline. The two columns really confuse me and the pictures are too big.

You have to set your profile pic as the picture you want to use-- it does then 'cover' the timeline. And I have to echo that IS such a creative timeline scrap!!!
I really appreciate that the pixel size was in the first post.... I immediately used it to put our logo up for a nonprofit page I volunteer for- took just 10 seconds. But then I just had to make a minor adjustment because my profile picture covered it up a little in the lower left side.
Since I had the logo that was covered up, I then could just draw a "box" around the area. I just eyed it from looking at my logo while I had the 'bad' image open on Facebook. I now knew that area would be covered. I colored a box there named that layer "BLOCKED AREA-PROFILE PHOTO. And now I have a template and fixed it.
I LOVE It when things are relatively easy!!
I'm sure somewhere there are templates and dimensions for all this, but that worked really well for me and was very speedy.
HTH's.
