USA TODAY goes out to 5.4 million readers across the United States and beyond. The world is slowly jumping on the digital scrapping bandwagon and we’re driving!

Thank you! In only our second month since opening, DigitalScrapbookPlace.com has had over 13,500 visitors and 5.2 million hits! Over 900 people have become registered members and it continues to grow daily. We would like to thank all of our members for making our site so great.

May 1st, National Scrapbook Day was very exciting; full of scrapping, fun, and prizes! Over ONE THOUSAND people visited DSP during this awesome day! If you missed it, don’t worry. Charity Event

The Digital Scrapbook Place will be supporting the Piketon Ohio Relay For Life for the American Cancer Society on June 4th-5th. We will be participating in the 24 hour crop as well as donating money and prizes to the American Cancer Society. Please join our efforts, support this wonderful cause, and be entered into a drawing to WIN! For every $5 you donate, your name will be entered into a random drawing. You could win a free CD from the DSP store or a 6-month subscription to Club Digital. Remember, the more you donate, the more chances you have to win, and the more money is raised to fight cancer, so everyone wins! 100% of donations will go to the American Cancer Society.

Have you been voting for your favorite Scrappin’ Idol?

Digital Scrapbook Place has been narrowing the field from 35 contestants down to one, The Digital Scrappin’ Idol! This week, many contestants stepped outside their comfort zones when challenged to create Graphic-Style layouts. The results are amazing and the votes have been close!

Be sure to visit the Scrappin’ Idols Gallery to choose your favorite and email your vote to idol@digitalscrapbookplace.com before Tuesday, May 18th at 11:59pm EDT! Book of Me

DSP has challenged its members to create an album about the person who always seems to be behind the camera, YOU! Often times as creators of scrapbooks, we are not in them much ourselves. Join us in this wonderful challenge hosted by Designer Lauren Bavin to create a book all about you!

Digital Scrapbook University

Hi Everyone!

As you may already know, the DSP University is now up and running and our first few classes are open for registration. The first classes that we are offering are:

DSU103-Intoroduction to Digital Scrapbooking - Jill Caren
DSU151-Taking Better Snapshots-Suzanne C. Walker
DSU301-Creating Realistic Elements in Photoshop-Lauren Bavin
DSU302-Advanced Collages in Photoshop-Jill Caren

All of these classes begin on June 1st so make sure you register today! You can register for classes in the DSP Store.

Each class will include in-depth tutorials, examples and assignments to be completed. The instructor for each class will have office hours in the chat room and will be available by email for additional questions and feedback. This is a great way to get one on one assistance in the functions you want to learn most.

New classes will be offered frequently and will include all the programs at some point, so if you are interested in learning something in DIP or PSP, please keep your eyes on the schedule!
