Letter from Team Digital

Here in the Northern Hemisphere Autumn is upon us; The leaves are changing, swirling as they are falling, while the air is changing, crisp and cool.  There is something about this time of year that causes us to reflect, to look back on the events of our lives.

So many times a memory comes from the unplanned, the spontaneous. I challenge you to capture those memories through journaling and photos! Recently my family and I decided to hop in the car and tour through the mountains to see the beautiful, golden leaves of the Aspen trees. I felt myself admiring the change of not only the trees, but of my family as well, and reflecting on how much the children are growing up. Time is so precious and it begs us to treasure it.

Scrapbooking and photography are very dear to my heart because an image created in 1/100th of a second can be held for some time to come, in essence holding time still for a fleeting moment. Preservation of our family memories and history is so important to keeping the lives of our friends and loved ones close.

With all of the wonderful technology that is available to us these days, it is so easy to preserve our memories.  We hope you take the time to check around DSP and see all the wonderful things we offer from tutorials to inspiration!  Watch the forum for wonderful challenges geared to creating more pages or taking better photos.

It is so hard to believe our inaugural Digital Elite Team (DET) was chosen six months ago!!  We are very proud to have worked with them!  Thank you Mandy, Maureen, Rosemary, Samara and Sharon! We are sad that six months went by so quickly, they have been an awesome team to work with! After some tough competition, we would like to welcome the winners of the DET contest, and say that there are so many talented and creative individuals here at Digital Scrapbook Place.

We are very excited to announce two new designers - Lisa Carter, aka Jags, and Stacey Jewell Stahl, Jewel68.  Watch for their new and exciting designs in the DSP Store!   On that note, congratulations, Valeri Brumfield, who is now a Senior Designer!

Reflect on your memories - the good times, the hard times - hold them dear. Your family will treasure them for years to come!

Kim Liddiard, Senior Designer

Digital Elite Team

New DET Members At DSP:
Second Digital Elite Team

It was a hard fought and fun contest, but we finally have our new Digital Elite Team. The 4 rounds of competition whittled the original number from well over 100 to a final 17 from whom the DSP designers had to choose the new team. This proved a near impossible task due to the incredible standard of competition and we must congratulate all the contestants on making this one of the best contests digital scrapbooking has known!!
However there did have to be a winning team and the designers were unable to keep to the previous number of 5 so the new team will have 6 members.
Only one of the incumbent team remains and we congratulate Samara ( Luv2crop) on retaining her position in the team.
The new members are Sallyscrapper, Dlhoffer, BadJuju, Berry girl  and D2vasquez (who was also the winner of the New Kids on the Block contest!!)
We look forward to seeing the inspiring layouts they are sure to produce in their 6 month term as members of DSPs Digital Elite Team.

You can learn more about the new members and see their galleries here.
